another overdue post- back in November 2012, I was a vendor at Ardmore’s popular Clover Market. it’s one of my favorite local shows to do; Janet does a tremendous job filling it with a blend of local handmade + vintage goodies. this look back to last year’s shows comes just in time- a special winter edition of The Clover Market is coming to Philly this weekend! check it out on Sunday, January 27th at the 23rd Street Armory (22 S. 23rd Street) from 10am-5pm. a bunch of the vendors that i photographed in November will be there- you can see the vendor list here.
during November’s market, I kicked off my Hurricane Sandy relief fundraiser by selling prints and totebags. the response was tremendous- i can’t thank the shoppers that day enough!
i was fortunate enough to have a helper that day, so i got to spend some time roaming the market and checking out all of the goods:
i adore the work of bee vintage redux– her vintage jewelry is like a collage of all of the most colorful and fun jewelry your grandmother had in her jewelry box. check out her work at january’s market!
i’ve always enjoyed rogue theory‘s accessories, but how cute are these clutches?? i love the fall color schemes. check out their jewelry line, too- all made from colored paper:
I’ve written about Press No. 9 a couple of times before, but this time around, I got to chat with the girl behind the screenprints. it turns out Christina lives right around the corner from me! what a small world! anyhow, i love these vertical greeting cards- and check out her fall floral market totes:
ABJ Glassworks has many colorful and functional stained glass works- definitely more contemporary than your grandma’s floral stained glass window hanging. i love these color combos.
boxer party outside of my booth!
open eyes press has a selection of bold, vintage inspired housewares. love these scissor pillows- perfect for the seamstress, quilter, or crafter in your life.
black heart letterpress always has the perfect card for every occasion. check out joe from BHL at january’s market- he’s running a DIY letterpress workshop!
charms city company had a beautiful set up- how cute is this nautically inspired whale bracelet? you can see what other charms the charms city company has to offer at january’s market.
. . . continuing in the nautical vein, squid whale designs makes the perfect accessories for seafaring folk.
i love this unique mountainscape by tiny marie! she also makes gorgeous and unique clutch bags.
in addition to “ooo-ing” and “ahh-ing” at everyone’s work, i came home with a couple of items too! i had a nice chat with a representative from the Center for Creative Works in Wynnewood. they provide studio based art class for people with developmental + intellectual disabilities. The Center set up an informational booth and shop at Clover- i picked up this whimsical floral bouquet screenprinted card. i love how free and childlike it is 🙂
i am a sucker for ceramics, which if you read my blogs about craft shows, you probably already know. i picked up this sea colored stoneware platter by Tamara Frost of black cat pottery- it matches an existing handmade ceramic pitcher i have by a different artist.
this time around, i came home with some cool antique finds, too. i love this glass box from Milkhouse Antiques– i’m brainstorming what to put in it- any ideas?
i also snagged this fun milk container from mouse trap vintage:
thanks for reading! i’ll be shopping this Sunday the 27th at Clover Market- maybe see you there 🙂
